WASHINGTON, DC The House of Representatives today considered the Congressional Black Caucus Substitute Budget Amendment to the Fiscal Year 2010 Budget Resolution.

WASHINGTON, DC - Rep. Bobby Scott will be hosting two workshops to provide an overview of the grant opportunities and assistance provisions contained in The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and how local groups can benefit from this landmark legislation. These workshops will be geared towards informing local nonprofit organizations, community groups, and faith groups of the grant opportunities that are available to them through this Act. The workshops will also include summaries of small business assistance provisions, aimed at helping small business in a struggling economy.

WASHINGTON, DC - On Thursday, March 26, 2009, Congressman Robert C. "Bobby" Scott received the Congressional Champion Award from the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA). According to IACLEA, the award was given to Rep. Scott "for his strong and steadfast leadership and support for campus public safety in Congress." Rep. Scott introduced the Center to Advance Monitor and Preserve University Security (CAMPUS) Safety Act which will create a National Center for Campus Public Safety. This bill was passed out of the House of Representatives on February 4, 2009.
