"Bobby" Scott (VA-03) will announce the winners of the 21st Annual Third Congressional District Art Competition at two upcoming award receptions in Newport News and Richmond. Each year, the Third Congressional District Art Competition is open to all High School students in the Third Congressional District of Virginia.

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Bobby Scott's website was named one of the best websites on Capitol Hill today and awarded a 113th Congress Bronze Mouse Award by the Congressional Management Foundation (CMF), a nonpartisan nonprofit working to improve communications between citizens and Congress and enhance operations in Capitol Hill offices. CMF has assessed and graded congressional websites and issued these awards since 2002.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Department of Justice Deputy Attorney General James M. Cole announced six criteria the Department of Justice will consider when reviewing and expediting clemency applications - for President Obama's review and approval- from a select group of non-violent individuals behind bars. These petitions will be prioritized for review over other clemency petitions that do not require all six criteria. In addition to announcing the new head of the Office of the Pardon Attorney, Attorney General Eric Holder announced his intention to increase the numbers of attorneys, with backgrounds in both prosecution and defense, to aid the permanent staff of the Pardon Office during this initiative. Enrollfest is one of many outreach events across Virginia focused on encouraging consumers to learn more about Obamacare and to enroll in coverage."There are just a few days left to sign up for health insurance coverage that begins in 2014," Rep. Scott stated. "Open enrollment for 2014 ends on March 31st, so if you, a family member, or a friend needs health insurance, now is the time to select a plan and get covered."
