NEWPORT NEWS  – Congressman Bobby Scott (VA-03) announced the City of Chesapeake will receive $1,034,800 in federal grant funding from the U.S. Department Transportation’s (DOT) Federal Railroad Administration. This funding was made possible through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, supported by Congressman Scott and signed into law by President Biden. The funding will be used to support grade crossing related improvements on Norfolk Southern owned infrastructure and Amtrak's DC-Norfolk route in Chesapeake, Virginia.
