"Today’s jobs report caps a historic year of recovery. Under the Biden-Harris Administration, our nation created more jobs in 2021 than any other year on record. The Biden-Harris economic agenda is getting Americans back to work. President Biden’s American Rescue Plan not only accelerated our economic recovery, it also delivered vital resources to help communities fight COVID-19.

The COVID-19 pandemic has created unprecedented challenges for school meal programs at a time when more families than ever are relying on them for essential services.

NEWPORT NEWS, VA – Congressman Bobby Scott (VA-03) issued the following statement: “Today our nation marks the one-year anniversary of the violent assault on the United States Capitol. The Capitol Police force was overwhelmed. Members of Congress, congressional staff, reporters, and support personnel were forced to hide from the violent mob storming and ransacking our Capitol. Several individuals lost their lives, including multiple police officers. The images of that day will forever be seared in my memory. A year later, our nation is still coming to terms with the aftermath of that day

NEWPORT NEWS, VA – Congressman Bobby Scott (VA-03), the Chairman of the Committee on Education and Labor and Co-Chair of the Congressional Modeling and Simulation Caucus, issued the following statement after the U.S. Department of Education announced a $1,151,446 Modeling and Simulation grant to Old Dominion University (ODU) . “I was pleased to see the Department of Education award this important grant to Old Dominion University to increase opportunities for students to study modeling and simulation. ODU’s Virginia Modeling, Analysis, and Simulation Center is a national leader in modeling and simulation.
