Scott Statement on Senator Jim Webb

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Robert C. "Bobby" Scott (VA-03) issued the following statement on Senator Jim Webb's decision to not seek another term in the United States Senate:

"Jim Webb has been a close friend and colleague during his tenure in the United States Senate. I had the privilege of working with him on his greatest legislative achievement, the Post-9/11 G.I. Bill, as well as efforts to bring more attention to the issue of over incarceration in our nation. While I respect his decision to retire, Virginia is losing a very skilled and disciplined legislator in the United States Senate."
