Scott Statement on the Passing of Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee

NEWPORT NEWS, VA – Congressman Bobby Scott (VA-03) issued the following statement on the passing of Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (TX-18):

“I was saddened to learn of the passing of my colleague, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee. We served together on the Judiciary Committee for many years, and Sheila was a fierce and passionate advocate for advancing equality, civil rights and criminal justice reform. She also remained a committed and tireless champion for her constituents in Houston. I send my deepest condolences to her family, friends and all those impacted by her life of service.”
