Scott Statement on Navy Helicopter Crash Off Virginia Coast

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Robert C. "Bobby" Scott issued the following statement on the Navy helicopter crash off the coast of Virginia:

"The Navy and the Coast Guard have kept me informed about today's unfortunate Navy helicopter crash off the coast of Virginia Beach and the ongoing search and rescue effort. I was saddened to hear of the confirmed death of one of the helicopter's crewmembers. We must always remember the tremendous sacrifices our men and women in uniform make each and every day both here at home and abroad. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the crewmembers and their families."
