Scott to Host Affordable Care Act Roundtable with Small Businesses in Richmond

March 6, 2013

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Robert C. "Bobby" Scott (D-VA) announced today that he will be hosting a roundtable with small businesses to discuss how the Affordable Care Act will benefit their businesses and employees. The Congressman will be joined by Joanne Grossi, the Regional Director of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for Region III, and Jayne Armstrong, District Director for the Small Business Administration in Richmond.

The roundtable will give small business owners the opportunity to learn more about the implementation of the Affordable Care Act and have any questions or concerns addressed. Additionally, the draft regulations for the Employer Shared Responsibility provision of the law will be open for public comment until March 18th, so this roundtable will be an important opportunity for small businesses to learn about the draft regulations and provide input before they are finalized.

Interested small business owners, as well as other stakeholders, are encouraged to attend. This event is free, but space will be limited. Please RSVP by calling (202) 225-8351 or (804) 644-4845.
