Rep. Bobby Scott to Host Forum on the Affordable Care Act

WASHINGTON, DC - Congressman Robert C. "Bobby" Scott (D-VA-03) announced today that he will be holding a community forum in Richmond to discuss the Affordable Care Act on Thursday, March 15, 2012.

Congressman Scott will be joined by Ms. Joanne Grossi, Regional Director at the Department of Health and Human Services and Ms. Jill Hanken, Health Attorney at the Virginia Poverty Law Center. Ms. Grossi will provide information on the provisions of the Affordable Care Act that are already in effect and what the public can expect in the next few years. Ms. Hanken will provide insight on what is happening at the state level in regards to implementing the Affordable Care Act. They will be joined by constituents who have already benefited by the health reform law. This event is open to the public. Seating will be limited.
