04.01.09 | Rep. Scott Holds Two Workshops to Discuss Grant Opportunities and Small Business Assistance Provisions in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act

WASHINGTON, DC - Rep. Bobby Scott will be hosting two workshops to provide an overview of the grant opportunities and assistance provisions contained in The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and how local groups can benefit from this landmark legislation.  These workshops will be geared towards informing local nonprofit organizations, community groups, and faith groups of the grant opportunities that are available to them through this Act.  The workshops will also include summaries of small business assistance provisions, aimed at helping small business in a struggling economy.

These events will include representatives from the Department of Education, the Department of Energy, the Small Business Administration, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development.  Each representative will give a summary of opportunities pertaining to their subject matter and be available to answer your questions.
