03.02.10 | Rep. Scott to Host Job Fair

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Robert C. "Bobby" Scott announced today that he will host a Job Fair at the Hampton Roads Convention Center on Monday, March 8, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Over sixty employers, including the Federal government, local municipal governments, and private companies, will be represented at the fair.  There will also be several workshops which will give attendees tips on how to write resumes and pointers on how to polish their interviewing skills.

"Since the enactment of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act last year, Congress and the Obama Administration have brought the economy back from the brink," said Rep. Scott.  "Although the Recovery Act has created more than 1 million jobs, unemployment still remains high.  This Job Fair will provide an excellent opportunity for citizens of the Third Congressional District to meet and visit with area employers who are hiring."
