Scott To Host Roundtable On Gun Violence Prevention
NEWPORT NEWS, VA – MONDAY, July 8th, Congressman Bobby Scott (VA-03) will host a roundtable to discuss the epidemic of gun violence. Mass shootings have taken place in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake and Buckroe Beach this summer. Congressman Scott will confer with elected officials, gun violence experts, and other community stakeholders. This roundtable will also be in advance of the special session of the General Assembly that Governor Northam has called to discuss evidence-based solutions to stemming gun violence. The roundtable will explore what experts have recommended, what the U.S. House of Representatives has done, and what can be done in Virginia.
