Scott Statement on the Retirement of Rep. Frank Wolf

December 18, 2013
Press Release

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Robert C. "Bobby" Scott (VA-03) issued the following statement on yesterday's announcement by Congressman Frank Wolf (VA-10) that he will retire from Congress at the end of his current term:

"Frank Wolf has dedicated his career to serving the citizens of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Since the retirement of Senator John Warner, Frank has been the Dean of the Virginia Congressional Delegation, and he has ensured that our delegation continues the tradition of working together for the benefit of the Commonwealth. The House of Representatives is also a better institution because of Frank Wolf. His service to his constituents, his ability to work across the aisle and his dedication to defending human rights serve as a strong model for all those that serve and will serve in the future. While this announcement is a significant loss for the House and the Commonwealth, I look forward to being able to continue to work with Frank Wolf during the remainder of his term."
