WASHINGTON, DC - Congressman Robert C. “Bobby” Scott (D-VA-03) received a perfect score of 100 percent on the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights’ Voting Record that was recently released.  The Leadership Conference on Civil Rights’ Voting Record monitors Members of Congress’ votes on civil rights issues.

For the 110th Congress, the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights documented Congressional support for, or opposition to, bills containing important civil rights protections, hate crimes and immigration legislation, judicial nominees hostile to civil rights and other issues.  Out of 435 members of the House of Representatives, only 171 members received a perfect score of 100 percent.

“I am committed to protecting our civil rights, which are the foundation of our nation,” said Rep. Scott.  “I am proud that the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights’ Voting Record reflects this commitment.  I look forward to working with the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights in the next Congress to address equality in civil right protections.”
