Internships

My office offers internships in both my Washington and District offices throughout the fall, spring, and summer semesters for college and graduate students, as well as recent graduates (no more than six months after graduation). Work hours are flexible to accommodate a student's school schedule. Internships in my office are paid.

Washington, D.C. Office

In my Washington office, interns' responsibilities will vary. They will be asked to answer phones, sort mail, research legislation for the Member and legislative staff, attend hearings and briefings and draft responses to constituent letters on various issues before the House. As a result, interns learn about the legislative process and the many other functions of a congressional office.

District Office

In my District office, interns may be asked to do a variety of things, including day-to-day office work such as answering phones, sorting mail, writing letters and assisting with media clips. In addition, interns may be assigned to assist in various constituent casework or work on district-based projects of importance.

If you would like more information on Congressional Internships—please contact my office.
